About Goodyear Auto Service

Goodyear Auto Service Centers are full-service tire and automotive repair stores wholly owned and operated by the Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company.

Located at 1039 Alleghany St, Charlotte, NC 28208, Goodyear Auto Service operates as a tire shop serving Charlotte in North Carolina. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it. Google also lists it under auto repair shop, which is worth knowing if you are comparing several options in the area.

Tire shops sell and install new tires, patch punctures, balance wheels and, at most locations, align the suspension. Prices are quoted per tire plus mounting, balancing, valve stems and a state disposal fee for the old set; many shops price-match and include free rotation and flat repair for the life of the tire. Used tire shops sell inspected take-offs for a fraction of the price of new ones, useful for an older car or a single replacement, but check the tread depth (4/32 inch or more) and the DOT date code, since rubber ages even on the shelf. Mobile tire services come to your driveway or the roadside, commercial shops handle semi, trailer, farm and off-road tires, and wheel shops repair and refinish bent or curb-scraped rims.

The business lists hours on 6 days of the week. The most common schedule is 8 am–6 pm. Note that it does not open on Sunday. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. The listed phone number is (704) 392-2163. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. More information is available on its website, goodyear.com.

With 3.6 out of 5 on Google from 195 reviews, it sits in the middle of the range for tire shops in Charlotte. Recent reviews are the best guide.

Charlotte is in North Carolina, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Charlotte follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Disappointing experience from start to finish. After waiting nearly a week for my appointment, Billy informed me that my OEM wheels β€œwould not fit” my vehicle and refused the installation, even though the installation was already paid for. My questions about an alignment were also dismissed. A local European specialist later mounted the wheels successfully without issue. The result was additional expense, more than 36 hours without my vehicle, and a frustrating experience that could have been avoided with better communication and customer service. Unfortunately, my interactions with Stephanie from Goodyear corporate customer support were similarly dismissive and offered little more and not even an apology despite the inconvenience and additional and significant cost incurred. I understand the right to refuse work for liability reasons, but professionalism and customer service matter just as much as the decision itself.

If I could give this company 0 stars at this location I would. I am a Lyft driver. I made an appt for TODAY at 9 am. I sat in there until 11:42 to be exact and the car was still in the same place as I parked it when I got there. When I asked how much longer and that I had an appointment I was told that I was next and next meant another whole hour. I just asked for the keys back and left. Lyft you really need to do business and partner with a different company. May I mind you my main complaint is the customer service. When I say if I could give the customer service a 0 I would. It’s always with this same guy that was there today. When I tell you he is the rudest person to be dealing with customers it’s so sad he is still employed there. I believe his name is George but please keep him in the back because he does not have polite customer service skills. I had to fuss him out before for being so rude. I’m glad I found another Goodyear in Fort Mill that has AWESOME customer service and greet you with RESPECT. ALL Lyft drivers it’s worth the drive to come to Fort Mill than to go to Goodyear on Alleghany Dr in Charlotte. Don’t waste your time. I don’t know how this location is still open

I am a Lyft driver and am so appreciative of the work that Goodyear provides for my vehicle! The customer service is on point to let you understand what is going on with your car and very clear at letting you know what needs to be done! Highly recommend!

Even when making about the customer service is trash. I rent a vehicle from lyft so I deal with this location often. They dont even look me in the face when I come in, I thought maybe someone was having a bad day but its always a nasty attitude no matter the issue I come up there with. Today my check engine light came on, I set a appointment from 9am and as always the clerk was rude and didnt even acknowledge me standing in front of him as he called someone behind me to get their keys. Long story short, I've been here since 9am and now its 2:22pm and no has even came out to tell me whats wrong with my vehicle if this wasn't a mandatory site for lyft rentals I'd never come here again.

I scheduled an appointment at this location, as I used to use their services pretty frequently once upon a time. When I showed up I was told there wasn’t a technician available until later. I recognize things come up, so I wasn’t so upset that they were short staffed, but I was more so rubbed the wrong way in that I would have really appreciated a heads up before making a trip out there just to cancel my appointment and leaving. I don’t think I’ll be coming back. I fear their customer service isn't all that great. It’s not bad, but more than anything I want to feel like they care about my concerns and time as much as I do.
